Long-Form Script Writer – Wild West History YouTube Channel
We run a YouTube channel in the Wild West / American frontier history niche. Our videos are long-form, narrator-driven listicles and deep dives that pull viewers into the gritty, strange, and often shocking reality of life in the 1800s American West — outlaws, gunslingers, lawmen, saloons, brothels, public hangings, post-mortem photography, frontier medicine, gold rush towns, and the bizarre customs that were once considered “normal.”
Length: 2800 to 3600
Mostly Listicle-style structures (e.g., “15 Things That Were Normal in the Wild West,” “10 Outlaws You’ve Never Heard Of,” “What Saloons Were REALLY Like”).
Strong cold-open hooks (first 30–45 seconds) that tease the most shocking item before the intro.
Tight pacing with mini-cliffhangers between segments (“…but what came next was even worse”) to hold retention.
To Apply, Please Include 2–3 links to long-form YouTube scripts you’ve written (with view counts if possible). History, true crime, or documentary samples preferred and the corresponding YouTube video links for the scripts.
