Merchandise Coordinator

We are currently looking for a self-motivated and analytical Merchandise Coordinator with at least 1 to 2 years of related experience and/or training to join our Store Support Centre team.

The Merchandise

Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support and analysis to the Merchandising Department and assist with various projects. They compile data from varied sources and summarize reports including: sales forecasts, gross margin, inventory, marketing and create, run and distribute reports on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as needed.
  • *Daily includes:**
Sales reporting, Purchase Order creation and updates, SKU creation using vendor provided information, price maintenance,

  • *Weekly includes:
SLM/LCM Summary, Pre-sell Reports, Marketing Meeting Minutes, Merchandising/Marketing Reports, Expense Reports and Expected Inventory during Fiscal Year-End
  • *.
  • *Monthly includes:
Open-to-buy Used and Chain, Vendor Summary, Sales Actual against Plan, Key Performance Indicators, New Release Summary, Inventory Levels.

In addition, they maintain vendor and SKU information. Co-ordinate with other departments (marketing, allocation, logistics) on inventory movement and vendor changes. Maintain street date information, merch tracker database, and marketing calendars. Confirm marketing budgets/reports balance. Complete purchase order entry and maintenance, price changes, price protections, sku creation and maintenance as required.

They solicit updated/accurate information from vendors/publishers concerning new release and hot item restock activity and ensure new release “first to market” execution and perform analysis on various competitors’ financial positions and market presence.

\*\Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and Powerpoint Presentations. Strong understanding of the retail industry an asset. \\*
