<p><strong>UI/UX Design Lead</strong></p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Toronto, Canada</p><p><strong>Employment Type: </strong>Renewable 6 to 12 month Contract</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Summary:</strong></p><p> The UI/UX Design Lead plays a pivotal role in creating intuitive, visually compelling, and user-centric digital experiences across procurement intake and triage platforms. This position is responsible for leading the full design lifecycle—from discovery and research through to final delivery—while ensuring a cohesive and consistent user experience across internal tools and portals. The role also involves mentoring junior designers and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align design strategies with business objectives and enhance overall user engagement.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities & Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, supported by a strong portfolio of web and mobile applications.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related discipline.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end design initiatives and guiding junior team members.</li><li>Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.</li><li>Hands-on experience with user research, usability testing, and iterative design improvements.</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.</li><li>Working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is advantageous.</li><li>Experience working in agile environments and contributing to design systems.</li><li>Background in designing for procurement or supply chain-related platforms.</li><li>Familiarity with intake and workflow tools such as Power Apps or form-based systems.</li><li>Ability to simplify complex processes into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.</li><li>Experience building and maintaining scalable, reusable design systems and UI components.</li></ul>
