We’re Hiring: Documentary YouTube Scriptwriter
We run a documentary-style YouTube channel and need a writer who can turn real events into gripping stories.
Not looking for basic writers.
We need someone who understands retention, pacing, and storytelling.
What You’ll Be Writing:
10–20 minute scripts
True crime, history, and real-world stories
Structured narratives with clear flow (hook → buildup → payoff)
This Is For You If You Can:
Open a script in a way that hooks viewers instantly
Turn raw research into a story (not just information)
Keep the pacing tight and engaging throughout
Write in a natural, human tone (not robotic or generic)
This Is NOT For You If:
You just summarize information
You don’t understand audience retention
You rely on fluff or filler to stretch scripts
What Matters Most:
Strong storytelling
Clean structure
Viewer engagement
To Apply:
Send 1–2 samples + answer this in 2–3 lines:
“What’s your strategy for keeping viewers watching past the first 2 minutes?”
